Short & Personal (TL;DR)

Hi! I'm Heidi. I'm a collaborator and consultant that supports on the strategy, communications and community side of things. I help people do impactful, interesting and fun projects (ideally, all three). While I'm available for micro-consulting, I tend to plug in as a project based team member. With this model, I've had the pleasure of working with the founders of some wonderful social enterprises, including miLES (Made In Lower East Side), Be Social Change, and the Un-School of Disruptive Design. I'm an enthusiast of lean startup for social innovation, electric collaborations, yoga and well-crafted stories. My life is divided between New York and Mexico City and, appropriately, I am working on an illustrated guide to the crazy world of Chilango Slang.

Heidi is an independent consultant and collaborator for impact driven startups. Currently splitting her time between Mexico City and New York, she has worked with founders and teams in the US, China, Hungary, & Mexico. The early stage startups, nonprofits & social projects Heidi supports and has supported cover a range of industries including education, real estate, fashion, finance, energy, design, and food and beverage. Comfortable crossing cultures and sectors, Heidi focuses on strategy, communications and community. She is dedicated to helping teams evolve their models, find their voice, share their stories, grow their communities and scale their impact. In addition to her consulting, Heidi has been a team member for miLES, Disrupt Design and Un-School of Disruptive Design since they launched and continues to plug in to support their projects.

Heidi graduated from New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study with a concentration in Alternatives & Social Change and a minor in Social Entrepreneurship through Stern / Wagner. Having previously worked with both Lean Startup Machine and Be Social Change, Heidi also teaches classes, facilitates workshops, mentors and offers micro-consulting on lean startup methodology adapted specifically for social innovation. In the past has mentored with Lean Startup Machine, Ashoka Youth Venture, and Smart Impact Accelerator.

When she's not collaborating with clients, doing yoga, or exploring, Heidi keeps busy with personal and/or creative projects down in Mexico City (currently: an illustrated guide to Chilango Slang).
